What does learning a language mean to me?

Definition of Language- A form of communication that people use to communicate.
Language is a thing people use to understand things.  It’s from all over the world.
How many languages can you list?
English, Spanish, Japanese, Chinese, Swedish, German, Portugese, Pig Latin, Latin, Dutch, Irish, Greek, Italian.
What way are languages all the same?
They are all for the same purpose.
What way do they differ?
They’re all different.
Why is it important to know another language?
So if you have to travel somewhere, you can understand them and they can understand you.
Why do we have languages on the national cirriculm?
That way you have to learn it, and won’t get stuck with someone you don’t know how to speak that language.
What do all languages have in common?
They all use gestures, sounds, motions, noises, and serve for the same purpose.
What is a rule?
A thing you have to follow.
Why do we need rules?
So a sentence is a sentence, instead of game Thursday clock six volleyball o, It’s Volleyball game, Thursday at 6’o’clock.
If language would be a human skeleton it would be the grammar, why?
Because grammar is the base of language
